| Abstract: | La Parisina is a three-act opera. In the palace of Duke Azzo, Ernesto and other nobles await his arrival. Azzo tells Ernesto about his fear that his wife, Parisina, has betrayed him with another man. This ends up being true, as both Parisina and Ugo, a man raised by Ernesto who was favoured and later exiled by Azzo, admit their love for one another. [Excerpt.] |
