| Abstract: | Background: The use of burden of disease (BoD) metrics in policymaking is crucial for evidence-based decisionmaking.
However, there is currently no information available regarding their utilisation in policies at the European
level. Objective: This study aimed to analyse the use of BoD metrics within the European legislation. Methods: Systematic searches on EUR-Lex were conducted for documents published between 2004 and 2023, to account for European Union-25 (EU-25). Network and qualitative analyses of documents were conducted to assess the legislation content. ¸é±ð²õ³Ü±ô³Ù²õ:³æ20;±õ²Ô³æ20;³Ù´Ç³Ù²¹±ô,³æ20;2615³æ20;»å´Ç³¦³Ü³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²õ³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;´Ú´Ç³Ü²Ô»å,³æ20;´Ç´Ú³æ20;·É³ó¾±³¦³ó³æ20;191³æ20;¾±²Ô³¦±ô³Ü»å±ð»å³æ20;µþ´Ç¶Ù³æ20;³¾±ð³Ù°ù¾±³¦²õ.³æ20;´¡³¾´Ç²Ô²µ³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð³æ20;²õ±ð±ô±ð³¦³Ù±ð»å³æ20;»å´Ç³¦³Ü³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²õ,³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;131³æ20;(69³æ20;%)³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;±è³Ü²ú±ô¾±²õ³ó±ð»å³æ20;²¹´Ú³Ù±ð°ù³æ20;2018.³æ20;°Õ±ð²Ô³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;±ô±ð²µ²¹±ô±ô²â³æ20;²ú¾±²Ô»å¾±²Ô²µ³æ20;»å´Ç³¦³Ü³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²õ.³æ20;°Õ³ó±ð³æ20;³¾´Ç²õ³Ù³æ20;±è°ù±ð±¹²¹±ô±ð²Ô³Ù³æ20;·¡³Ü°ù´Ç³Õ´Ç³¦³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;(·¡±«â€™s³æ20;³¾³Ü±ô³Ù¾±±ô¾±²Ô²µ³Ü²¹±ô³æ20;²¹²Ô»å³æ20;³¾³Ü±ô³Ù¾±»å¾±²õ³¦¾±±è±ô¾±²Ô²¹°ù²â³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð²õ²¹³Ü°ù³Ü²õ)³æ20;»å´Ç³¾²¹¾±²Ô²õ³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;²õ´Ç³¦¾±²¹±ô³æ20;±ç³Ü±ð²õ³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô²õ³æ20;²¹²Ô»å³æ20;±ð²Ô±¹¾±°ù´Ç²Ô³¾±ð²Ô³Ù.³æ20;°Õ³ó±ð³æ20;³¾´Ç²õ³Ù³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;´Ú°ù±ð±ç³Ü±ð²Ô³Ù³æ20;·¡³Ü°ù´Ç³Õ´Ç³¦³æ20;³Ù±ð°ù³¾²õ³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;³¦±ô¾±³¾²¹³Ù±ð³æ20;³¦³ó²¹²Ô²µ±ð³æ20;±è´Ç±ô¾±³¦²â³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;45),³æ20;·¡±«³æ20;±ð²Ô±¹¾±°ù´Ç²Ô³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²¹±ô³æ20;±è´Ç±ô¾±³¦²â³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;32)³æ20;²¹²Ô»å³æ20;±è´Ç±ô±ô³Ü³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;³¦´Ç²Ô³Ù°ù´Ç±ô³æ20;³¾±ð²¹²õ³Ü°ù±ð²õ³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;32).³æ20;°Õ³ó±ð³æ20;³¾´Ç²õ³Ù³æ20;³¦´Ç³¾³¾´Ç²Ô³æ20;·¡±«³æ20;¾±²Ô²õ³Ù¾±³Ù³Ü³Ù¾±´Ç²Ô³æ20;°ù±ð²õ±è´Ç²Ô²õ¾±²ú±ô±ð³æ20;´Ú´Ç°ù³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð³æ20;°ù±ð³Ù°ù¾±±ð±¹±ð»å³æ20;»å´Ç³¦³Ü³¾±ð²Ô³Ù²õ³æ20;·É²¹²õ³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;·¡³Ü°ù´Ç±è±ð²¹²Ô³æ20;°ä´Ç³¾³¾¾±²õ²õ¾±´Ç²Ô³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;152).³æ20;´¡²õ³æ20;´Ú´Ç°ù³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð³æ20;±è³Ü°ù±è´Ç²õ±ð²õ³æ20;´Ç´Ú³æ20;³Ü²õ²¹²µ±ð,³æ20;²¹°ù²µ³Ü³¾±ð²Ô³Ù³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;93)³æ20;²¹²Ô»å³æ20;¾±³¾±è²¹³¦³Ù³æ20;²¹²õ²õ±ð²õ²õ³¾±ð²Ô³Ù³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ0¶Ù;³æ0´¡;50)³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;³¾´Ç²õ³Ù³æ20;³¦´Ç³¾³¾´Ç²Ô.³æ20;²Ñ´Ç²õ³Ù³æ20;µþ´Ç¶Ù³æ20;³¾±ð³Ù°ù¾±³¦²õ³æ20;·É±ð°ù±ð³æ20;±ô´Ç³¦²¹±ô¾±³ú±ð»å³æ20;¾±²Ô³æ20;³Ù³ó±ð³æ20;³¾²¹¾±²Ô³æ20;³Ù±ð³æ³Ù³æ20;(²Ô³æ20;=³æ20;122). Conclusion: Despite growing recognition of BoD metrics in supporting policymaking, their use remains focused on environmental health topics. Further efforts in training policymakers, knowledge dissemination and policyoriented research could enhance the uptake of BoD studies in EU policies. |
