| Abstract: | This research aims to assess the maturity of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems within organizations in the Maltese market. ERP systems are integral for managing business processes, and their successful implementation and evolution reflect the organization's operational capabilities and strategic growth. Our study will focus on understanding how ERP systems are adopted, integrated, and optimized by businesses in Malta, examining the systems' sophistication in terms of functionality, scalability, alignment with organizational goals and level of utility gained by the usage of an ERP. By conducting qualitative research through interviews with key stakeholders (such as IT managers, users, etc.), we aim to identify the challenges and success factors associated with ERP system maturity. The findings of this study will contribute to a deeper understanding of the current state of ERP systems in Malta and offer insights into areas for future improvement, ultimately helping businesses in maximizing the potential of their ERP investments. |
