Abstract: This presentation merges my personal journey as a foster parent with my professional path in social work and counselling, focusing on the need of a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach in child and adolescent welfare settings. It presents phase 1 of a practice-based action research PhD study that focuses on the process of transposing evidence-informed and evidence-based trauma-informed (TI) skills into supervision in child and adolescent welfare settings.
