Abstract: The flag of tolerance has been waved numerous times to stage visions which appear to be inclusive especially in political manifestos. Concurrently, nations and societal groups have shown intolerance to all that is different to their ideals by arguing against living with people of different origins, lifestyles or beliefs. This study shall present the meaning of human fraternity by moving from tolerance to integration to fraternal love. The objective is to show how love is the reality which foments true fraternity, since it encapsulates all the dimensions of persons and of relations; on the other hand, tolerance, particularly in its strategic minimalist form of conflict avoidance, focuses on establishing essential minimums when interacting with individuals from different cultures.
