| Abstract: | Between 3 and 5 May 1985 the University of Catania hosted a dozen of Maltese scholars for a meeting with Italian professors and researchers interested in the history and the language of Malta. The author in this preface of 1987-1988 journal, is firmly convinced that the meetings between Maltese and Sicilian scholars are indispensable to the carrying out of researches that investigate a common field. It was for this purpose that the author wanted to immediately follow the example of Catania inviting a number of Italian scholars who in their research have taken into account the language and literature of Malta. |
