| Abstract: | Two vocabularies are closely related to each other : the agricultural vocabulary and the meteorological vocabulary. These two linguistic sectors reflect a linguistic domain that, in the case of the agricultural one, is almost completely Arabic and meteorological is mixed, but mainly Sicilian and Italian. The author presents here a series of words that document the Arab origin of the Maltese and Gozitan agricultural vocabulary. |
