Abstract: The aim of this study is to better understand the causal relationship between destination image, tourist attributes, overall satisfaction and destination loyalty. This is achieved by examining evidence covering both theoretical and empirical data. Empirical data has been obtained through questionnaires distributed to and filled in by tourists who visited Gozo. After analysing the data gathered from these questionnaires, one could clearly define both pre and post touristic expectations of the Island. Undoubtedly, an important factor of this analysis was the capacity to outline those Gozitan attributes which are most appealing to tourists. Furthermore, it helped to identify the satisfaction levels of those tourists visiting Gozo, whilst achieving a comprehensive perspective of their image of Gozo. Undeniably, such analysis gave an indication of how many of these tourists will become returning tourists and also how many are likely to promote Gozo to friends and relatives.
