| Abstract: | Established in 1961, the Broadcasting Authority monitors and regulates all Radio and Television broadcasts originating from the Maltese Islands. It is an independent statutory body consisting of a Chairman and four other members appointed by the President of Malta acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister given after consultation with the Leader of the Opposition. |
