| Abstract: | The Majolica are tin-gazed earthenware fired at a high temperature used to store drugs that are commonly associated with Caltagirone. However, these pieces actually originated in the Middle East and reached Europe later where they reached their peak in Italy and Malta. Malta now has an extraordinary collection of Majolica's that can be found at the Auberge de Castille. |
