Abstract: Our dissertation consists of research carried out in the newspapers published in Malta during the years 1962 and 1975. We catalogued and categorized all the articles written about Dun Gorg in the newspapers of this period. As an introduction for every chapter we wrote a concise history about the particular subject and gathered the main points mentioned. At the end of the dissertation we indexed the different authors and names mentioned in the articles. As appendix for our study we enlisted the articles found, general information on the Maltese Newspapers published from 1962 to 1975, information on three priests who had a direct relationship with Dun Gorg, part of the Constitution of S.D.C. written by Dun Gorg, a copy of the decrees issued by Archbishop Gonzi and the Congregation for Saints regarding the process of Beatification of Dun Gorg Preca and the steps involved in using the database. All this information was transferred to a database which we made available on a floppy disc. Thus facilitating research work. The research method employed in the writing of this dissertation consisted in looking for and analyzing primary sources, newspapers held at the National Library in Valletta.
