Postcolonialism, education and an international forum for debate

Abstract

Over the years, we have been witnessing the proliferation of a literature dealing with what is widely being termed 'postcolonialism', a term which has lent itself to several interpretations. While the term has gained a lot of currency, it has often been regarded as problematic by some who would argue that the term assumes that we have moved beyond the colonial stage, which is certainly not the case with a number of contexts.
