| Abstract: | The University of Malta Library Open Science Department presents Issue 38 of OAR@UM Update: May 2021. This issue provides statistical information pertaining to the development of OA publishing at the UM. According to data generated from Scopus, a steady growth can be observed not only in the number of published papers but also in the number of publications in Open Access journals (from 39% in 2018 to 44% in 2020). Additionally, we would like to invite you to view the recording of the webinar by the European University Association entitled Into the unknown: most likely futures for Open Access publishing. The webinar focused on different scenarios to open up scholarly publishing, their advantages and disadvantages, challenges and opportunities. |
