| Abstract: | Urban sprawl has been the source of a number of environmental issues. The most devastating are the effects of soil sealing, urban heat island effect, air pollution and storm water runoff. It is important to find a balance between green open spaces and urban areas. Certain places have a high density of buildings, therefore such green areas cannot easily be created, however the greening of roofs can significantly aid this issue. |
