Abstract: A valley in and of itself will assume an identity reflective of the sum of its circumstances. If a valley were to exist in a barren landscape with hardly any life supported then it will be shaped by the Aeolian, thermal and geological processes active in its vicinity and little else. Should it rain then it will take on the role of channel and will allow the force of gravity to drive any surface runoff towards the crevice of its being.
