Authors: Sammut, Christian (1995)
Keywords: Thyristors
Hardware-in-the-loop simulation
Issue Date: 1995
Citation: Sammut, C. (1995). Computer controlled gate drive circuit for speed control of an induction motor using slip energy recovery (Bachelor's dissertation).
Abstract: The aim of this dissertation was the control of a three phase naturally commutated thyristor converter to control speed of a slip ring induction motor using slip energy recovery. The main feature of this dissertation was the synchronization and firing control of a three phase thyristor converter using a microprocessor. This was achieved using interrupts , so an adequate amount of information is given about handling hardware interrupts through software.
