| Abstract: | The title of this essay reads "Youth Development in Local Football" but the ultimate objective of this assignment is the setting up of Football Nurseries for girls. The essay starts with a brief history of Youth Development in Local Football, and the setting up of the M.F.A. School of Football. It then develops into information with regards to the present situation of the local Football Nurseries in comparison with the situation of the said Nurseries six years earlier. And the participation of girls in these Nurseries. The essay then gives an overview of various opinions of personalities involved in Youth Development and in women's participation in Local Football. Finally, the essay takes a look at how Women's Football developed in other countries, and ends with giving recommendations on what could be done in order to generate further interest that could enhance Women's football development in Malta. |
