The University of Malta has released its Undergraduate Prospectus for 2026 and 2027, providing prospective students with a comprehensive guide to the wide range of study opportunities available across the institution.
The prospectus showcases more than 200 courses offered through various Faculties, Institutes, Centres, and Schools, spanning five main streams: Business, Health, Humanities, Science and Technology, and Social Sciences. Whether students are interested in pursuing a certificate, diploma, or first degree, the prospectus serves as an essential resource for exploring academic pathways and planning future studies.
In his foreword to the publication, Rector-elect, Professor Frank Bezzina, highlights the transformative role of higher education in today's rapidly changing world.
“Higher education equips students with the skills, critical thinking abilities and adaptability required to thrive in an increasingly dynamic and evolving world of work,” he states, while reaffirming the University's commitment to knowledge that serves the common good.
The University of Malta is home to over 12,000 students, including 25% international students representing 144 countries. Students can choose from a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes designed to support both academic achievement and professional development.
Another feature highlighted in the prospectus is the University's growing portfolio of micro-credentials. Introduced in academic year 2023/2024, these short-term learning opportunities are designed to provide professionals with focused, job-relevant skills and knowledge, responding to the increasing demand for flexible and targeted educational experiences.
Beyond academic programmes, the prospectus details the student support services available to students throughout their university journey. These include IT ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ, Health and Wellness support, the Counselling Unit, Chaplaincy services, the ACCESS – Disability Support Unit (ADSU), HelpHub, the Library and Student Advisory ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ.
Prospective students can also make use of the University's Course Finder facility to explore programmes and identify courses that best match their interests and career aspirations.
Applications for courses commencing in October 2026 can be submitted online through the University's application portal.
