Short Films In Spring opens the wintry curtain to let in the spring splendor: instead of watching one film at the cinema, you get to have a drink at a sea-side venue as a diverse programme of short films unfolds in front of you.
Curated by Manchester based film programmer Amy Carroll, a selection of some of the shorts has been prepared and they will be screened for the very first time on the night. Miss Carroll said: 'Spring is a time of rebirth and new beginnings and the films that will be screened perfectly encapsulate the feeling of change so well'. Miss Carroll added: 'With the days becoming longer and the nights becoming warmer, these films are a strong reminder that it is indeed the season of renewal as these short films capture new challenges, life-long ambitions, joy as well as an opportunity for the audience to be engaged by up and coming directors, expand their network, and enjoy a night out whilst watching some great talent on screen'. Short Films In Spring is a unique alternative film distribution, exhibition platform as these shorts don鈥檛 get to be screened in cinemas or on TV. During the film event, the audience will be given the opportunity to vote for the best film.
The event will be held at NAAR Restobar, St Julians on Wednesday 27 April at 19:45. Entrance is 10 euros and includes wine, canap茅s and free popcorn.
