The National Institute for Childhood will report on some of the key findings and results from its Student-Teacher Relationships research project, situated in children's wellbeing research.
The research methodologies for this study include phenomenological analysis of child, teacher and parent interview data, ethnographic classroom observation, and quantitative Student-Teachers Relationship scale data, amongst others.
The findings reveal Year 5 children's accounts of what being 'a teacher' means to them, their distinction between 'good' and 'poor' teacher relationships, their yearning for close relationships with teachers, and distress in relationships that are in conflict.
This event organised by The President's Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society will be held on Wednesday 15 November from 09:30 to 13:00 at San Anton Palace, Attard.
