On Thursday 26 April, ALLT (Association of Linguistics and Language Technology) will be organising a seminar about multilingualism, called Language: More is definitely better. This seminar will start at 19:00 at the office of ‘Kunsill Nazzjonali taż-Żgħażagħ’ in Floriana.
During this seminar, a few studies and research papers will be looked at to illustrate that we use more than one language to co-construct identities, and to enrich our linguistic lives.
The speaker for this seminar is Dr Sarah Grech who is a linguist with research interests in language variation, English language proficiency and sociophonetics. She is currently involved in a number of projects to gather data reflecting diverse aspects of spoken English and Maltese in the Maltese islands, as well as lecturing on English proficiency and Linguistics at the University of Malta.
We encourage you to come to this seminar to get to know more about bilingualism.
Entrance is free and after the seminar drinks and snacks will be provided!
