The Maltese National Contact Point (NCP) of the European Migration Network (EMN), within the Ministry for Home Affairs and National Security, would like to invite undergraduate and postgraduate students at UM and UM academics (who give lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate level), interested in asylum and migration issues, to attend a seminar on 26 June 2018 between 13:00 and 17:00 (venue is still to be announced).
The EMN plays a key role in providing policymakers and the wider public with up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum. This is essential for the EU to better respond to the challenges in these areas.
The EMN makes a valuable contribution to evidence-based policymaking. Dissemination of information takes place primarily via the and publications.
The European Commission services coordinate the EMN in cooperation with National Contact Points (EMN NCPs) appointed by EU countries plus Norway. In their own countries, the EMN NCPs form national networks with a wide-range of relevant stakeholders.
