Esplora Interactive Science Centre on 10 and 11 November
The agility of Spiderman is legend as he web-slings across New York City; Thor's might is on full display as he wields and cracks his thunderous hammer from Asgard; the Avengers’ combined super-forces fill up page and screen to take on the invincible Thanos, Flash whizzes to light speed until he warps the fabric of time and space, Daredevil, the blind superhero, engages in combat with his enemies using only echolocation to guide him in the deadly darkness. Superheroes show no signs of stopping as they continue to ignite our imagination, springing full-bodied from comic book covers and teaming up in the super-charged Superheroes in Science event.
Now, more than ever before, cutting-edge science belongs to the world of Superheroes. The event will look at the mind-boggling wizardry and technology behind the comic book’s legendary heroes and villains. Explore the creative fusion between science fiction and science fact and see who might win the struggle -- is it Einstein or Spiderman? Or is today's science fiction, on its way to becoming science fact in the future?
This jam-packed weekend for all ages promises to be highly entertaining and informative, filled with fantastical science shows, dioramas, life-size figures of the most popular characters - perfect for selfies, a Superhero digital art exhibition, fun hands-on workshops, Superhero vs Super villain duels, The Hulk vs T-Rex Challenge and much more.
