Event: Representations of Catholicism in Malta Today: Listening to the Generations

On Thursday 21st July, a recently concluded qualitative study on the representations of Catholicism in Malta today will be presented by Dr Luke Buhagiar, until recently the Chief Research Officer of Discern, the Church鈥檚 Institute for the Signs of the Times. This study sheds important light on the Maltese cultural milieu, and illustrates how changes in the local representation of Catholicism both reflect and precipitate wider social changes.
The findings will be discussed by a panel moderated by Professor Edward Warrington, with panellists including the Archbishop鈥檚 Delegate for Evangelisation Professor Nadia Delicata, Professor Jean Paul de Lucca and Rev. Dr. Claude Attard.
The event, which will be held in the Old Refectory at the Curia in Floriana, will commence with refreshments at 17:45 and is expected to conclude by 20:00
