Aġenzija Żgħażagħ is once again opening the applications for Chiasmus and Kjażmu, two literary programmes in English and Maltese respectively aimed at young people aged 16-25. The aim of these programmes is to encourage young people to work with a mentor to develop their writing skills in poetry and short stories with the goal of publishing their works.
What is Chiasmus?
Chiasmus is a project by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ aimed at encouraging young people between the ages of 16 and 25 to develop their writing skills. Participants will work closely with a mentor to write original short stories or poems in English, with the goal of having their work published.

Why Apply?
Successful applicants will:
- Receive mentoring from experienced writers
- Develop their creative writing skills
- Have the chance to publish their work as part of a series of chapbooks
To be eligible, you need to submit:
- A completed application form and a short motivation letter (max 500 words)
- A scan of your identity card
- Two short stories (500-1000 words each) or three poems (up to 40 verses)
