'German Matters!' is a competition for all students of German at secondary schools in Malta and Gozo. The competition was organised by the Department of German at the University of Malta. A prize giving ceremony will be held on Saturday 14 May at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall, University of Malta, Msida Campus.
The aim of the competition was to encourage students to depict the motto 'German Matters!' by means of a photograph, a power point presentation, a website or a blog, a short film, a collage, a poster, a poem or an essay, a video of a theatrical or dance performance, a song or by means of other media.
The students were invited to work on their own or as a team to produce a creative project for the motto. Contributions portrayed the motto to refer either to anything that is German and that is associated with the German language, life and culture or focused on the other aspect of the motto, i.e. that German is important!
