The closing meeting of the COST Action TD1301, MiMed (Development of a European-based Collaborative Network to Accelerate Technological, Clinical and Commercialisation Progress in the Area of Medical Microwave Imaging) is being held, from 7 to 9 June, at the University of Malta, Valletta Campus.
The meeting and workshop are hosted by Prof. Charles Sammut, Dean of Science and Head of the Department of Physics, and two members of the Electromagnetics Research Group (EMRG) from the Department of Physics, Dr Lourdes Farrugia and Mr Julian Bonello.

Microwave imaging is one of the most promising emerging medical imaging modalities that promises low-power, low-cost and non-ionising technology with dual diagnosis and therapeutic capabilities. A European group of interdisciplinary researchers, members of COST Action TD1301, have been working on advancing this technology and accelerating the process of making it available to patients.
