With two victories out of the two opening matches in the Knock Out and Championship competitions against Mriehel ESS and Qormi Futsal respectively, the Students have opened their account for the 17/18 Season in positive fashion.
Next Thursday 5 October, the Whites shall face another stern test against debutantes Pieta SS Futsal, who despite being newcomers to the Maltese Futsal Scene as a Club, have in their ranks bags of experience and potential! Pieta are also on a winning streak, registering two wins out of their two matches against JC Futsal and Marsaskala Futsal in their opening fixtures in the K/O and League. Pieta SS ran out winners in a thrilling match against the Southsiders, beating the team in orange 4 goals to 2 in the dying minutes of the match. With the experienced player-coaching duo of Carlo Scicluna and Clint Cope pulling the strings, you may always expect a tactically apt and disciplined team!
The University boys will seek to capitalise on their pace and flair as they seek their third consecutive win in all competitions but will need to be with all guns blazing to get the three points. The Support of our Community on Freshers' Week shall be essential for our success, and as always, we call on our Support base to be the #SixthMan and deliver the boys to victory!
