During the workshop Professor Zlateva will describe the main characteristics of children's drawings, introduce the basic principles of diagnostic methods in interpreting children鈥檚 drawings and discuss three tests used in children鈥檚 drawings, namely the Draw-a-Person test (Goodenough), Draw-a-Person test (Machover) methodology, and Kinetic-Family-Drawing tests.
Ani Zlateva is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education, Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. She was awarded her PhD degree in 2006 on stereotypical images in primary school children鈥檚 drawings. She has also a Master's degree in the Pedagogy of Art and Sculpture. She works as an art trainer and art therapist with children experiencing behavioural and development problems such as ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, and also with gifted and talented children, and has numerous publications in the area
This workshop is being organised by the Centre for Resilience and Social and Emotional Health in collaboration with the Department of Psychology
