The Department of Conservation and Built Heritage will be hosting two distinguished colleagues from the Institute of Archaeology, Al Quds University, Palestine.
Dr Issa Sarie and Dr Ibrahim Abu Omar will be travelling to Malta in April, as part of an Erasmus+ Exchange Programme the Department has with the Institute of Archaeology of Al Quds University. This collaboration has been ongoing since 2016 and has seen the exchange of Maltese and Palestinian academics over a two year period.
During their visit to Malta, Dr Sarie and Dr Abu Omar will be participating in a seminar organised by the Department of Conservation and Built Heritage at the University of Malta Valletta Campus. The seminar will be held on 16 and 17 April. Apart from the seminar, on 17 April, there will be two evening public lectures which will be held at the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, Valletta, in collaboration with The Archaeological Society Malta.
Attendance for the seminar and the evening lectures is free.
