Sports, in all its varieties, reflects the characteristics, culture and values of those practicing it. From that which is strictly personal (like ambition, perseverance and attitude) to that which is collective, sports becomes decisive on a personal, social and political level.
During this talk, Dr Chetcuti will be looking at sports through a critical lens. mainly focusing on how it benefits the individual and society at large. Key aspects of the presentation include integrity, true governance, one's well-being, personal sacrifice and commitment for excellence and success.
Dr Angelo Chetcuti is a lawyer who has followed his passion for sports since his early years. He has done this mostly at an administrative level. He has worked within European institutions for about 12 years until two years ago when he began to occupy the office of General Secretary at the Malta Football Association.
