Anne Clark, English poet and spoken-word artist, is a pioneer of electronic music and has been celebrated worldwide on stage for more than 30 years. Shaped by the punk scene, Anne Clark’s career started in the early 1980s. She achieved fame and success with such new-wave classics as ‘Our Darkness’ and ‘Sleeper in Metropolis.’ By creating ground-breaking analog synth music, Anne Clark was also a forerunner of the techno movement, and has influenced an entire generation of musicians. Claus Withopf followed Anne Clark for almost a decade, and his documentary gives a deep and emotional insight in her life and work.
