This year鈥檚 Festival Ktieb fuq il-Kampus, which is in its 7th edition, will be held between Wednesday, 25 and Friday 27 March, 2020. The festival is being held at the University of Malta Quadrangle, and is being collectively organised by and the .
This festival will not only help to promote literature on campus but is also being held to give book publishers and distributors an opportunity to network and promote their publications with the university population.
A programme of activities, ranging from live music to workshops, movie viewings, interviews with authors and illustrators as well as discussions and guided library tours, has also been announced, and will soon be available via the Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus Facebook page.
Mark Doty, the first American author who won the T.S. Eliot Prize in the UK in 1995, and who took home the US National Book Prize in 2008 for his book Fire to Fire: New and Selected Poems, has been confirmed as the special guest for this year鈥檚 festival. Doty wrote various poem anthologies including Betlehem in Broad Daylight, A Swarm, A Flock, A Host: A Compendium of Creatures, and Deep Lane as well as memoirs, like Firebird and Still Life with Oysters and Lemon: On Objects and Intimacy.
