Every Monday at 18:00, a 30 minute guided meditation practice session will be available for university staff and students. After each session, participants will receive an audio recording of the guided meditation for practising during the week.
Over the course of these sessions, participants will practice techniques for resting the mind. One of the main benefits of mindfulness is to experience a feeling of a calmer mind and develop better concentration.
Sessions will be facilitated by , lecturer at the Dance Studies Department.
This initiative will take place from Monday 25 May until Monday 15 June.
While aiming to create a sense of community, sessions won’t require people video or voice interaction (participation will stay anonymous to reduce distractions and create a feeling of privacy).
No previous experience of meditation is required. Whether you are a newcomer to meditation or have a meditation practice, the sessions will be a space to make a pause in the day to rest the mind together.
Whoever is interested in joining one or all of the sessions, please send an email.
