The at the University of Malta is organising, in collaboration with the Malta Pharmaceutical Students Association (MPSA), a webinar entitled ‘Vaccines in the Pandemic Era’ on Thursday 12 November 2020 at 19:30.
The webinar is a post-conference event to the Annual European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP) Virtual Conference that is being hosted by the Department of Pharmacy.
Reflections from Dr Rodrigo Burgos, Clinical Pharmacist specialised in Infectious Diseases at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA and Dr Christopher Barbara, Clinical Chairperson of the Pathology Department, at Mater Dei Hospital will be presented during the webinar. Dr Burgos is contributing to the COVID-19 vaccine trials by Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
A panel comprising Professor Mark Brincat, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and representatives from the European Pharmaceutical Students Association, the International Pharmaceutical Students Association, KSU, MaltMUN and the Malta Health Students' Association will be joining pharmaceutical students to discuss pharmaceutical, societal and economic implications related to influenza and COVID-19 immunisation.
