Title: Public Engagement Event on SAT-FIRE Project
Date: Tuesday 27 July 2021
Time: 09:30
Venue: Esplora Interactive Science Centre
The SAT-FIRE project, funded by the Space Research Fund administered by MCST, developed machine learning and computer vision techniques to improve the resolution and quality of the existing Earth Observation Sentinel-3 thermal satellite data. The generated high resolution Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data is used to validate marine current forecast models, which then benefits applications such as diving, swimming, marine transport and tracking of marine debris.
A Public Engagement Event will be held at Esplora Interactive Science Centre on Tuesday 27 July at 09:30.
