Between 3 and 4 of December 2022, IEEE Malta is going to organise the first international IEEE region 8 robot championship at Montecristo Estate Arena. IEEE is a VO (Voluntary Organisation) that contributes to the advancement of humanity through technology. 

One of the commitments is to have interactive sessions and to ensure that the event is an educational one. To achieve this we, as partners are invited to set up STEM activities and give them a taste of our efforts. 

Although some of the activities of the IEEE R8 Robot Championship, such as the.STEM events are going to be free of charge an entry ticket is required to access the arena. To access arena for the opening show and have access to the games, where the robots will compete, buy your tickets .

Programme of events:

Saturday 3 December 2022 | 18:00: The opening show: Meet the Robots and have access to all interactive STEM activities and robots workshops. People must be seated at 17:30. People who have a ticket for the Opening Show will also have access to Game 1 time to fall. 

Sunday 4 December 2022 | 10:00 : IEEE Region 8 International Robot Championship Games with access to all interactive STEM activities and robots workshop. Game 2 Weight Game will take place during this time. 

Sunday 4 December 2022 | 13:00 : IEEE Region 8 International Robot Championship Games and Knockout with access to all interactive STEM activities and robots workshop. Game 3 Death Clock will take place during this time. 

This event is organised by IEEE Malta, IEEE Region 8 supported by University of Malta, Cassar marine, Montekristo Estate, Tech.mt, APS bank, MDIA, Robocoach and Directorate for Digital Literacy, and Transversal Skills.
