The Department of Middle Eastern and Asian Languages and Cultures would like to invite University staff as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students to a lecture on Andalusi Arabic and its traces in Spanish, Arabic dialects and Maltese. The lecture will be delivered by Professor Ignacio Ferrando, a distinguished Arabist from the University of Cádiz in Spain.

Professor Ignacio Ferrando is a full professor of the Arabic language at the University of Cádiz in Spain. He teaches Arabic grammar, the history of the Arabic language, Andalusi Arabic, translation and interpretation. He has also served as s visiting professor at various universities, including Universities in Granada, Tangier and Jordan.
