Xogħol ta’ Tlieta : Three men go out to work under the scorching sun.
Ieqaf : Anna was driven to her wits’ end. The moment has arrived for a life-altering decision. Will she get through the day?
The of the University of Malta is proud to announce the premiere screening of Xogħol ta’ Tlieta and Ieqaf, two short films made by the students of the M.A. in Film Studies.
The films will be screened on Sunday 18 June 2023 at 18:00 in the Aula Prima of the .
After last year’s very fruitful collaboration, the M.A. is pleased to welcome back renowned film professionals Hana Jušić and Martijn Smits who are currently on set overseeing the production and shooting stages of the two short films.
The scripts were developed by the students themselves while following intensive units on scriptwriting offered by Franz Rodenkirchen and Françoise von Roy, two of the most sought-after script consultants in Europe.
The combines the theoretical aspects in film studies with a practical component, during which the students collectively plan and shoot short films, developing them from the scriptwriting to the postproduction stages. In order to help the students reach their full potential and to abide by the tight schedule which such projects demand, internationally acclaimed directors active in the European film industry are invited to act as mentors.
