The conversation on Gender and Social Media, will examine masculinity in the digital age. A Prevex Project in collaboration with the Department of ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ Policy and Governance, will discuss topics such as;

• perpetuation of sexual violence through social media
• impact of social media on young people’s understanding of gender roles
• rise of extremist influencers (such as Andrew Tate)
• Youth mental health in the aftermath of lockdowns and social isolation

The event will take place online via Zoom meetings. Participation is open to interested students, activists and other stakeholders in the field of gender and sexuality.
