Event: Urban Greening in Gżira: What's it Worth?

The VARCITIES team is looking for citizens of Gżira to contribute to research on how nature-based solutions can improve the locality. Nature-based solutions are sustainable actions, and use of natural features and processes to tackle socio-environmental issues. To support our balcony greening initiative, the first 10 people to sign up will receive a free houseplant!
On 15 March 2024 at 14:00 we will be hosting a workshop at the Gżira Parish Hall, where we will collect your thoughts on how different approaches can improve quality of life in the area. In recent years, Gżira has seen increasing challenges, including reduced air quality, increased congestion, and threats to public green space from private development. We would love to hear your opinions on different interventions designed to address these and other challenges.
