The , in collaboration with Szkola Glowna Mikolaja Kopernika, Krakow, is organising a conference on “Bridging Worlds: Society, Religion, and Cultural Confluenceâ€.
It will be held on 30 - 31 May 2024 at the Auditorium within the University of Malta.
The Faculty invites contributions to its parallel panels, with a particular interest in papers addressing the conference theme.
Topics that may be explored include the interconnectedness between Society, Religion, and Culture; Religious Freedom; Religion as a "social good"; Religion and Governance; Religion and Politics; Religion and Immigration; Interreligious Dialogue; the evolving role of religion in contemporary society; dynamics of cultural confluence; religious diversity; cultural engagement; social cohesion, and so on.
Abstracts should be between 100-150 words and can be submitted along with a tentative title and a biographical note of 100-150 words until 31 March 2024 to by email.
This conference seeks to convene scholars across diverse academic disciplines such as Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology, Public Policy, Law, Theology, and others. Together, they will explore and deliberate on what could arguably be regarded as the paramount question of our era: How do the dynamic interactions between society, religion, and cultural confluence shape contemporary narratives of identity, belonging, and meaning?
