The Stargazer Astronomy Group recently held its first two activities of the academic year.
The first activity held at JC was a talk about Cosmology and astronomical photography by members of staff from the UM Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy (ISSA).
The second activity was a visit to the ISSA labs where the students met more members of staff, all of whom are reading their Ph.D. degree. The JC students were briefed about the various fields being studied at the Institute, and the avenues they could take to eventually further their studies at ISSA.
The third planned activity is a night-sky observation session at G魔adira, as part of the Department of Physics weekend workshop.
