Congratulations to Sharon Cilia, an English A Level student, on winning the Juvenes Translatores 2021 Competition with a fluent translation from Maltese to English. She will be representing Junior College during the award ceremony to be held in Brussels in April.
This is the third consecutive year that Junior College placed first in the prestigious Juvenes Translatores Competition, an annual translation contest organised by the European Union to promote, recognise and reward language learning and to inspire young linguists.
The student prepared for the contest under the guidance of Dr Patricia Vella Briffa, Department of English.
Sharon Cilia's name is announced in the 8th minute of the video above.
