Although this year no credit will be given for the Enrichment Programme Units, some units qualify under the project requirements for the Systems of Knowledge course.
The Photography Club offers its members an Introductory Course in Photography. This unit will be a great start to those interested in photography, or even those who already like taking pictures and would like to improve their techniques. No previous knowledge is required. Owning a camera is a bonus but not a requirement - you can use your smartphone or other to take pictures. The course includes theory and practical sessions, and also photographic tasks, which altogether meet or exceed the twenty-hour requirement for Systems of Knowledge.
The Introduction to Video Production course is for students who already have an understanding of basic photography. This is a shorter unit and focuses on the production of a short video. There are some theory sessions but it is mostly a hands-on course and involves independent, supervised work. You can use your smartphone or other equipment to shoot a video.
The Introduction to Journalism course is aimed towards aspiring journalists, or students who have a special interest in journalism, broadcasting and story-writing. This unit is spread over one academic year, and like photography, meets or exceeds the twenty-hour requirement for Systems of Knowledge. This unit involves theory sessions, workshops, hands-on activities, and where possible, visits.
The above courses will start by mid-November 2021. Interested students are to send an email
