Luca Zammit and Jean Paul Muscat, two Junior College students who participated in the highly acclaimed reality show Shark Tank with their app GRNR have managed to garner a whopping Eur 25,000 investment from 5 different top local entrepreneurs.
Luca and Jean Paul represented the whole team of GRNR, consisting of Hayley Bassily, Kieran Cassar and Kaine Agius.
GRNR, short for 'greener', is an app that will award points to people depending on how many steps they take. This was set up in collaboration with local businesses and NGOs that are offering physical rewards in return for the accumulated points. Also in the pipeline is the plan to plant trees in relation to social goals achieved.
The financial backing and the experience of these 'sharks' will help the group bring this idea to life and potentially make a bigger social and environmental impact.
Congratulations to all the team and we look forward to see your idea come to life. Count us in.
