We all have fears. What better way to live than to turn those fears to fuel us to push further? On 3 June the fears of open waters and jellyfish were faced by Mr Karl Cortis, a Junior College lecturer, and a number of other athletes who swam and ran all the way from Cirkewwa to Valletta, all to raise funds and awareness for the , which will help two young twins with Zellweger syndrome, a rare condition that requires a lot of research and support. After a total of 30km of running and 5km of swimming, all athletes managed to complete the event, showing that having a purpose can be a drive to beat your fears.
Well done to all.
