The annual seminar entitled ‘Profit Maximisation: Is the Sky the Limit? The Ethical Dimensions of Accounting’ is being organised by the University of Malta, Junior College, Accounting & Economics Department on Tuesday 12 December 2023 at the Valletta Campus. Second year advanced level accounting students will have the opportunity to explore different professional paths.
Mr Paul Xuereb, Principal, and Ms Josephine Mallia, Area Coordinator for Business and Technology, at the University of Malta Junior College, will introduce the seminar. Academics from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, and the Faculty of Education will provide an overview of the qualification of an accountant and teacher from the University of Malta. The Malta Institute of Accountants will expose students to the evolving role of the accountant.
Students shall engage in six workshops intended to exhibit different facets of the accountancy profession. The workshops will be led by representatives from six leading accountancy firms.
