What is powerful knowledge? What may constitute powerful knowledge in the discipline I teach? What are the pedagogical implications?
This session will provide an opportunity to reflect upon these questions and other issues arising out of the idea of powerful knowledge as coined by Young (2008), to re-establish the importance of knowledge in teaching and curriculum development.
Dr. Emanuel Mizzi is the Head of the Department of Technology and Entrepreneurship Education and the co-ordinator of the Masters in Teaching and Learning course in Business Education at the Faculty of Education.
