On 14 September 2024, the Junior College Diversity Committee proudly took part in this year鈥檚 Pride March in Valletta. Surrounded by the lively atmosphere of unity, our committee joined thousands of people walking together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the ongoing fight for LGBTQIA+ rights.
This year's Pride March, themed "Uniting for Equality," brought together individuals and organisations from all walks of life, and the Diversity Committee was honored to be a part of such a significant event. Representing a shared commitment to fostering inclusivity, the Committee walked alongside other advocates and allies, waving rainbow flags and carrying banners that highlighted the importance of equal rights and the strength found in embracing differences.
The Diversity Committee's participation in Pride 2024 was not just a celebration but a powerful statement of our core values at the College. By taking part, we reaffirmed our dedication to creating an inclusive environment, one where every individual, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, feels respected and valued. Our presence at the Pride march underlined the belief that diversity is a strength that enriches our community.
